Susan's writing credits include co-authoring The Fourth Trimester: On Becoming A Mother, endorsed by pediatrician T. Berry Brazelton, M.D. and featured in a Jane Brody New York Times column. Since its publication, the term fourth trimester, designating the first three months after a baby’s birth, has become part of mainstream and medical terminology.


Her columns, "The Therapist Is In" appeared inThe Northwest Independent and The Germantown News. 

 “The Practical Parent” and a cartoon series “What About the String Beans? (and other parenting challenges)” for Parenting Magazine of the Delaware Valley. She was one of the lead columnists for The Metro when it originated in Philadelphia.

Her opinion pieces and articles about her creative philanthropy have appeared in The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Bulletin, Main Line Times, The New York Times, Philanthropy and the Jewish Exponent.


Having written short stories, plays, and children's books, Susan is currently working on a non-fiction book containing some of her own non-Freudian theories, What Kind of Dog Are You?  She has just completed her first novel Shiva Mavens, A Love Story with Recipes and The Yenta Chronicles.
